I'm moving to Nevada from Calif for permanent residency. By the time I get to Nevada my Calif license will have expired. Am i going to experience and problems applying for a Nevada license?

You will have to take written test.

Go to DMVNV.COM to make an appointment, print that appointment letter out to keep with your expired CA license(1st available appointments are in November currently). DMV tech will check your driver history to determine your eligibility to transfer your California license, also to determine if you will need to do written and/or drive test. Also, once on DMVNV.COM go to Real ID license requirements to see what documents you will need to bring. All documents MUST be originals. And if you had any name changes, bring name change documents.
