All of our grief support groups meet twice per month - either the first/third week or the second/fourth week and all are offered 6:30-8p (except one spouse loss group we do offer during the afternoon). We have a variety of different types of grief support groups - for children, teens, young adults, spouse loss, child loss, adult, infant/pregnancy loss, aftergrief, and offer support for those facing terminal illness. If you call the office during business hours, we have you complete an intake and will assign you to the appropriate group.
Yes, there are specific groups for the loss of a child. The days and times will depend on which group you are assigned to. I'm in one of the spouse loss groups and we too meet twice a month. Just call the center and they can help.
I believe there are different groups based on the loss of a child. My group is a young adult group and we meet every 2nd and 4th monday evenings. I recommend calling and getting more detailed information. The people at lost and found are really helpful and understanding through any kind of loss.
