Depends on what you are withdrawaling from. but you will be adequately medicated to keep you as comfortable as possible for about a week. the "detox" portion is all medically supervised. Subutex, Librium etc
In the event your withdrawling off opiates, they make sure your around 36 hours after last use then start a suboxen taper. They have different comfort meds depending upon what your drug of choice was, with exception of methamphetamine, there isn't a whole lot of withdrawal meds for that. If your going in to detox off of opiates will they give you Subutex as opposed to Suboxone, that way one wouldn't have to wait so long after last use to get dosed?
