Firstly, everyone that works at McDonald's is grumpy, it's part of their core values, secondly, they have massive issues with call ins and more than likely someone didn't show up for their shift
A lot of the fast food joints don't run with the word ethics in their vocabulary

There's only ever been one or two unhappy people at the register when I've gone. Busy street, understaffed, poor management.
