I have gotten a loaner car only if I asked for it and only if the work took more the 24 hours

Yes usually if the car is under warranty the manufacturer pays for the rental.
They may have four other people. But they definitely did not do that for me. I had to go down there and wait an extreme amount of time. And one day I just had to leave my car there and take a taxi to pick it up. Hope that helps.
