From the pictures I see a lot of Carp. Looked like a pic of a Gar in the water too. Just got a fishing kayak and looking for a place to put in and fish this year. Is this a good place for that? What other fish besides Carp?

I've caught smallmouth and rock bass below the damn, on a kayak. Took out at 160 by the Go-Kart track

Not really unless you plan on floating down river. Below the damn there is catfish,largemouth,smallmouth,rock bass,bluegill,spoonbill. The top side of the lake is a good place to fish as well. You can put In at the marina or the boat ramp by 65 hwy

Any good bank fishing spots?
