It's stored inside, generally a cool dry place and it is immediately processed. If it is getting shipped out, it reaches Denver within 6 to 10 hours where it will be sorted again and sent on its way.
My wife use to be a package handler for this facility and where she loaded and unloaded packages,no there is no heat or a.c. in the package handler facility. Packages are brought via trucks in and the handlers immediately load or unload the trucks and certain packages are disbursed through well organized chutes in the factory to determine proper location and destinations for proper arrival time.
