As a Missoula resident who is certainly not an authority on things Italian or German but who has been to Italy on a couple of occasions, it seems to me that the Tagliare Delicatessen seems very Italian and not at all German (although I've never been to Germany). It is where I go in Missoula when I want quality Italian meats from the deli, homemade pesto, bagettes from a local Italian bakery, as well as where I know I can purchase hard to find pasta.
Tagliare, in Italian, means “to cut”. Many of our sandwiches are based from traditional New York style Italian deli sandwiches. Much of our market place is full of imported Italian goods and wines. And though not our entire store is straight from Italy, we do consider ourselves an Italian style deli.
Interesting. Italian and German name, with Mixes from Italy and Germany. Sounds like a place I might try
