You can spend hours, especially if you're a history fan. Also, the chapel is worth a visit. Spend the $3 and go in the pyramid. Felicia and Jacques are delightful if you get to chat with them.
You could read all day. That said, you can get the idea in an hour or so. It's interesting to talk with the founder's wife if you get the chance. She's very passionate about the site and gives great perspective on why its laid out the way it is. I didn't get to see the center of the world, but try to time your visit so you can.
Yes it depends on how long you want to stay. You're free to do as you want.
