Are they very strict on wearing swim shorts, or we can wear any shorts & shirt?

I'm pretty sure you need to change out of your street clothes before getting into the water, in order to keep the pool cleaner longer.

Well, for lap swim, you need swim shorts. I don't know about open swim, but it's probably the same.
