This is a cool park; it's big and often active, there's a prairie area near the river with a path along it, a dog area, a rec center, and a decent-sized hill you can see the sunset from 🌇

Yes they just built one on the irving park side of the park
Courts are not setup. It’s tennis courts. You will have to get your own net. It’s mostly pick-up play, friendly crowd.
They let me and my son play in the gym . If you ask , I don't see why not they're pretty nice. Even gave him a few balls to kick around.
One does not need a permit to play ball. I believe hard ball is also allowed. However, there are leagues that play there and they will gave priority. There should be a schedule at the field house. As to the other comments, any homeless who may or may not be staying there are harmless and could use a good sandwich.
So is there any place around to see any good views of the sky than. Where trees aren't in the way. I thought there was a hill in the park? I have the feeling people are misunderstanding my actual Question. Not do they do fireworks 🎆 but can you get a good view of sky all around to see 👀 other's fireworks.
I'm pretty sure the courts are outside only
No
I agree also they are growing many plants indigenous to IL
"one full loop around its paved path clocks in at almost exactly one mile"
