They have specials for senior dogs since they typically can be harder to adopt out. They don't always have the animals listed completely online and they go to the pet store for adoptions a lot. They are very friendly and always welcome calls, they can help you find events or set up a visit during a time when the dogs will all be there.
The Humane Society of St. Joseph County is on Grape Rd in Mishawaka. It's a great place to find a senior dog! We have a cat that lived there. She was a kitten. And is now about 8 months old. She's a happy one. She was so loved they passed her around to say goodbye when we took her home. That named her Lois Lane, but we dubbed her Peanut. Check them out.
They are very friendly there and unfortunately have a large selection of k9's most of the time
They had at least 2, when I visited.
Only way to look is to visit them.
