Stone by stone. They also had to dig the channel it crossed thus creating an island to which the bridge provides access. Pretty amazing. Visit sometime and see the museam.
Each stone was numbered then shipped to Long Beach California then trucked to Havasu
Piece by piece. They bought the bridge for almost $2.5 million. Then paid $4.5 million to ship it over and reconstruct it. They hollowed out the granite (the little pieces are sold) and built a steel structure to support the cars driving over it.
