I went to the post office and told the girl my situation. Then she filled out a card for me and the other person's mail stopped being delivered. Also, the USPS website has a way to do it in the menu somewhere. I opted for the easy way because I was already in town.

Tape an index card inside the door of your mailbox specifing the occupants residing at the address followed by the word "ONLY". Fill out another move form with the post office only listing the members of your home. You can do that online also. I believe the mail person also still carries a form for that, in route. You fill it out and put it back in your mailbox and it will be picked up the next day.
