I bought a Prius Prime in June and have hit 5000 miles. The dashboard says get maintenance now, but I remember being told that it didn't need an oil change until 10,000 miles. Which is correct?

Oil changes are only required every 10,000 or once a year. There are other maintenance due at 5,000 miles. Also if this is a new car you have Toyota Care for the first two years or 25,000 miles which is complimentary.

You should get your oil changed every 5000 miles no matter the vehicle
