Dear Lisa, Bodhi here and I hope this finds you well. At our location we offer a seven line canopy tour that does include a 30' controlled descent (think guide/device controlled rappel as opposed to guest operated) and a ride to and from our canopy tour area in a M35a3 deuce and a half. On our adventure the controlled descent and truck ride aren't really voluntary if I'm being honest. Our canopy tour area is located about a mile away from and 400' higher than our base camp. You'll be thanking the truck by the time you get to the top. As for the controlled descent it is an engineered system designed for vertical travel from one of our landing platforms to a lower sending platform. We do have rescue kits and the training to bypass the controlled descent in emergency situations, but the best way down is to use the controlled descent device. There are other tours in our area that operate without a controlled descent, but I think you'll like ours and it. Sincerely Bodhi
When you sign up for zip lining, that all you have to do. Other stuff is separate
