Are there very many seals in July? We were thinking of taking our granddaughters

Yes , there are many seals almost all year long , parking is in a dirt field and is very bumpy so drive slow ! There is a boardwalk so you can get lots of angles for photos , have fun !!!😉

There are elephant seals during most of the year. The fewest, usually molting males, are viewable in late summer. You can watch newborn pups in December. My granddaughter has talked about the seals ever since she first saw them a couple of years ago.

I may be wrong but a docent told us the males are generally year round but the females and pups migrate north. We went by there a couple of weeks ago amd there were many on the beach.
