Truly don't believe that they continue to ask us for donations. That's the only contact we ever have from AAofM after spending many hours filling out forms and answering questions. And we drove over an hour to get there hoping for the help they claim to provide. The resume that was finally sent to my son (after having to call back numerous times) was full of misspellings and grammar errors). He is still unemployed years later. Adults don't waste your time. You will only be disappointed again. It's all about the kids. All AAofM claims are a bunch of hot air. Stop asking for $ and take us off your mailing list.

Awful experience with development team member Sherri F. She both bullied and abused.

Your Development Assistant Sherri treated people as her tool. She has yelled a lot to kind people, set talented people up to fail and earned negative reputation from automotive industry.

If you decide to work with them, be sure to record your calls and conversations to prevent gaslighting. I had a horrible experience with the employment team here.

We do notify our Autism Families who call and speak with a Navigator about the Family Support Subsidy Program. We do this on an individual basis as it is not our program to broadcast publicly. It does not appear that you have contacted the MiNavigator program according to our database. We can provide the brochure or more information if you need help applying for this, however application must be made by or in collaboration with the public school system.
That has always been one of the most difficult tasks. I think the solution is to just find summer tasks/programs; they shouldn't have to be Autism geared, it's time for full inclusion across the board and these programs need to make the necessary adjustments.
Well, their Gala probably ended. So it's probably the Autism Hero Walk
Most advocates are adults, however we do know some impressive teens who give presentations to other students who are very impressive. Advocates are a very diverse group, ranging from individuals with disabilities or personal experience to attorneys.
My non verbal grandson uses a gps device from AngelSense. It tracks him if he takes off and his teachers are included in the app so they can find him quickly. It also has a 'listen in' feature that allows you to hear what's going on around him. It is not a recording device though.
