How do I take my husband's name from my car title?

Is it paid off? You'll have to find the lender to take his name off title. If not paid off you'll have to be apply and qualify for a loan to finish payment. In your name only. So it's a question for the name on title. If you have the title he will have to sign it over to you then re-register

Definitely for the DMV. From the few things i know the car has to be paid off and he would sign to pass it on to you. Might be other things included but reccomend you speak with the DMV.
