How well handled are your animals, and especially your snakes? I'd love to get a snake but almost every petstore snake I've seen never gets handled and strikes at me. I want something I can hold instore to see how it does without getting bit. :)

We try to hold each one everyday, with so many it is a challenge but we have a lot of customers so we get to pull them out fairly regularly. There are different kinds of snakes which have a tendency to be more aggressive. It also depends on when they come in, or when they're due to eat or recently been fed. So there are some contributing factors to aggressive snakes. But we would love to pull out whatever you'd like and steer you away from aggressive ones. Our staff is well versed on which snakes are the best and handleable.

The answer from Mark's Ark's owner was excellent. We have had great luck buying pets there and have always had a chance to hold our perspective pets before buying them. They are wonderful to deal with at Mark's Ark.

I second Linda in that Mark's Ark is as responsible with their reptiles as any store here in UT. Not disparaging other companies, but we have had above average to exceptional experiences every visit.
