Yes it is possible they made steel Penny's in 43 because copper was in short supply during ww2 ! But if you have a 43 penny that nots magnetic then you have something that is worth a lot 💰!

I don't believe they were made of stainless steel, so they should be magnetic. If he had one that was made if copper, he'd really have something.
