Friday and Saturday nights (8pm or later) tend to have a cover charge. And it's fine to come here solo, I do it and became friends with the bartenders. All friendly people there. And arrive before 8pm and you'll be "grandfathered" in without paying the cover charge.

It's possible to visit Stonewall Inn with your frieds or alone. It's up to you :-) But often you get to know other People there.
