Hello Sir! You may have suffered the Popeye's spicy-less effect. Word is that locals don't like overly spicy foods, and choose to spice spicy food to their liking? I my self when never ascribe to such, and I am as local as they come. To each their own though. Best of luck and bring a bottle of hot sauce next time!
