It really depends on the driver. And to reply to other posts, sometimes people don't have an ID because they were robbed and a relative is trying to help them out; ie my grandson. And the answer is YES, if you buy the ticket on-line for them. At least that is how it worked for me anyway.
Why would u want to be without id anyway. but no u can't ride r purchase a ticket without a id
I think you can but it has to front desk know so they can tell the driver
