I heard about taking a ferry to get there once I park . Is this accurate? If so , how much for the ferry ride and where do I wait for it ?

I do this all the time and it adds another fun adventure to our trip. I typically park at the garage with the bridge that connects to the waterside and cut through waterside to the dock. $2 per person and free for kids. Get off at High St dock and it's maybe 100 yds to the museum. On the way back I usually pop into legend brewi g co. and split something with the little guy. (Food, not beer) All those things combined make for a fun day.

No. There is a parking garage behind the museum. $1 per hour $6 per day. And then tou walk out the garage and walk a little to the museum.

Thank you much everyone!

You dont HAVE to take the ferry to access the museum, but the kids would love the adventure of taking the ferry from Norfolk Waterside to Olde Towne Portsmouth...
