There is no security. We did have hired security at one time, and I felt very safe. But we soon lost that and the tweekers regularly break into the laundry room at night and break into cars in the parking area. My son's car was stolen from the parking lot and my own vehicle broken into many times, but the promised gates with resident only access that were promised 7 years ago never were put in. The mailboxes in a locked mailroom have been broken into due to residents not making sure to close the door behind them. I rarely feel safe and my door is always deadbolted.
I agree, this open parking lot concept has resulted in car theft. The mail room broken into twice in one year. You have to keep tour doors deadbolt lock with chains in order to feel safe.
