I've walked over in shorts after an outdoor show at Express Live several times, but normally on a week night. There's no dress code for entry, but folks tend to dress up more on Friday and Saturday nights. Jeans and a nice shirt would fit in with the normal weekend crowd just fine.
Shorts are fine. A real mixed crowd.

Nice jeans or chinos would probably fit better but i would imagine no strange looks if someone wore shorts
Varies i have seen and worn nice shorts there. Admittedly havent been there in the evening on a friday nite etc. Have also worn slacks etc.
