As an IVF patient, we get ultrasounds as early as 6-8 weeks. I don't think she is lying. I had US pics at 6.5 weeks last year. But had a miscarriage at 8.5 weeks.
We had a similar experience with U/S very early on. Part of the reason is to check the uterus and make sure that looks good as well as development of fetus. Dr Storment has been absolutely great. We had miscarriage at 11 and 12 weeks (twins). But will start again very soon.
