There’s a Male Grackle walking around with a hunched back at the playground of the child care center I work at. He’s falling over often and keeps looking like he’s trying to ‘talk’, but no sound is coming out. Most places are closed now, what do?

I am trying to ask my husband who volunteers at wildlife rescue, but he's at work and I can't reach him. Is it possible for you to put it in some kind of carrier and bring it there tomorrow? EDIT: I realize that by now you did whatever you did but my husband reminded me that one should always call wildlife rescue before taking a sick or injured wild animal anywhere because sometimes, they will have advice that will save you the trip.

Leave it alone and let nature take its course. By the time a bird shows all those signs of an illness they are usually too far gone to help. Make sure you wear gloves if you have to dispose of the body later.

Since they are closed, the best thing you can do is put it in a cage or carrier and take it to the Rescue tomorrow.
