Does anybody think that pastrami is very similar to a smoked meat sandwich.Just wondering if anyone else thinks the same.Cheers!

Similar to Montreal Smoked Meat but a little different. NY Pastrami has more of a spice coating and a deeper flavor, Montreal Meat is somewhat more subtle in spiciness. Both are excellent, and essentially different interpretations of the same concept. Also, pastrami is often made from a different cut of beef -- the navel --or can be made from brisket, Montreal Meat, I think is always made from brisket
