Are dogs allowed on the trail ?

No, Battle Creek Cypress Swamp is made up of Nature Conservancy property. These preserves are set aside to protect natural plant and animal communities. We invite you to observe and enjoy these preserves but dogs are not permitted on any of the Maryland Nature Conservancy preserves. However leashed dogs are welcome on the trails at Biscoe Gray Heritage Farm which is .5 miles down the road from Battle Creek Cypress Swamp. There is also a dog park across the street from Biscoe Gray Heritage Farm for off leash activities.
