I went there today just to take a look at the place and saw that it has a place on the side of the road that i think isfor target practice,is it ok to go to that spot and target practice with a AIR RIFLE or its not permitted???

Piney Hollow is just for archery. They closed the shooting range last year or so. You can still shoot at Makepeace Lake though. As far as using an air rifle at DOD...you just need to have your Firearm ID with you. Just pick a spot with a safe backstop.

Actually, it is a wildlife management area. And as long as you have an FFA to buy and purchase air rifles as well as firearms you likely could as those areas are designated for hunting and fishing. However as someone who hunts and fishes i would recommend going to and using the range on piney hollow road in the williamstown area. Which butts up to and is essentially part of the winslow wildlife management area. For more information reach out to the division of fish game and wildlife to find out for sure. Keep in mind air rifles and bb/pellet guns are illegal in this state.
