Anytime a child is placed in a mental health facility the family feels powerless and guilty. These feelings can cause ppl to blame the facility when they don't like the answers they hear. Treatment is always better than reading a suicide note
My experience there was not a pleasant one. They refused to listen to anything I said about my son and we’re not helping him the way he needed to be treated. When I told them I was coming to pick him up to take him to another facility they stated they would take legal action to get custody of him if I tried to take him somewhere else. When he was finally released, I immediately took him to another facility where they were they listened to me and actually helped my son get the correct diagnosis. I personally would not recommend them for in patient stay.
