Does this place allow the patients to have personal phones getting in touch with a loved one is impossible they seem to always have a excuse to why they cant talk haven't heard a peep since my loved one been there

No they don't allow personal phones.. And yes you do have to call the number...and you seem to wait indefinitely.

You can't bring a phone in, but there are designated times for calling. It's the patients choice to call or not. There's four phones to use during that time.

No they dont..they search you to make sure you arent trying to sneak one in..
