Why is it so hard to get an oil change done here for my nissan titan diesel? We call and schedule it and tell the scheduler it's diesel. Then when we get there, no diesel mechanic. This has happened twice now.

Is there some problem with changing oil & filter on a LT diesel that requires a diesel certified technician? I used to have a Ford diesel 4×4 Navistar 445. I changed the oil (12 quarts) filter ($25), starter ($265 rebuilt when a Cat quest rebuilt starter for a Ford 460 gas was $35. The 460 took 5 quarts and the filter was under $3.
