My family and I have been going to CUMC since I was a baby. I'm openly gay and no one has given me trouble because of it. Two years ago we became a Reconciling Congregation to be officially welcoming to the queer community. Although we're still a mostly white congregation, recently more people of color have become members. Several church families host exchange students from our sister congregation in Sierra Leone. As for religious views, we welcome people of all beliefs to join the conversation about faith and applying it to life. That was a really rambly answer, hope it helped!
We're new to the neighborhood and they've been very welcoming to my family. On Sundays I see lots of different families and individuals as well.
