Is there a side for small dogs?

There is no area. For small dogs here. Sorry. The inside area people r mentioning is a dog agility training for all ,,,NOT specifically for small dogs

You have to go through the area with larger dogs to get to the small dogs area.

Yes but you have to walk through the area where all the "not-small" dogs are running around. Just be ready to deal with people that think the small dog area is reserved for their large dogs. I've seen pit bulls and larger in there at times.
