1 to 2 years on waiting list but it will be worth the wait
Is your local Housing Authority, go there and the only thing you get is your appointment for formal application. Mine is 8 weeks away. They will ask how many members of family and tell you the documents needed. Then unfortunately the list is years long. But the longer you wait to get on list, the longer it will be. So the answer is yes, but years
