I would have said Yes, but if AZ Pilot says No, I would go with that, because I'm not 100% sure. I can say that I have recently used a small gas hibachi style grill at the park without any issues. If I was breaking the rules, I had no idea. Oops!
I see people in the park with gas grills and stoves all the time. Took a quick look at their website and it was not on the "prohibitive" or "special permit" list. Enjoy!
I saw a guy on Thanksgiving day with a turkey fryer I would call park n rec there maybe a permit needed
They provide the gas there but you have to pay $25 dollars per hour to use it water included too
