Steele Indian School Park has a pulse. I enjoyed hearing drums most of my time there. The parking is very good and the last time I was there there was a yellow carpet of Paloverde blossoms. It is a large park and because it also has gentle hills people can pretty much get away from other visitor's. The pond and island are popular and more than just a simple oval shape. People are fishing, sitting on benches and walking around. There are two dog parks and I had experiences at each. Playground is nice as is a majority of the park.

One of the cleanest, most beautiful parks around! I love visiting the ducks they're so friendly.

Very well kept. The landscaping is done fantastically, the large pond is excellent. Enjoyed the morning walk around the perimeter. Restrooms are cleaned often. The lawns are well manicured. I recommend.

Nice park, at one point. Loved reading the history here. The water fountain feature was cool, palm tree lined walking paths were nice. But the garbage was pretty ridiculous. First time here as I was visiting from out of town. Was pretty nasty. Felt bad seeing all the wildlife living among all the trash. The ponds near the bridge, so much garbage floating. There was homeless sleeping on the covered bridge. Was pretty discouraged and ended up leaving.

Yes usually by the playground or the field and it comes with a grill or you can just bring your own
Yes. Lots of gridbike at the entrance for rental. Coolest thing ever!!!!
There are a few around the park. As people mentioned there are recycle bin at every restroom and there are some scattered through out the park primarily by the parking lots. If you take a walk around(or drive around) you wont miss them. Yes they are marked.
The City of Phoenix has 8 parks designated for legal drone flying. Steel Indian School Park is not one of them.
Yes you can fish if you have a valid Arizona fishing license . There are limits to the number of fish per species that can be taken. It is re stocked periodically.
I would have said Yes, but if AZ Pilot says No, I would go with that, because I'm not 100% sure. I can say that I have recently used a small gas hibachi style grill at the park without any issues. If I was breaking the rules, I had no idea. Oops!
