We try to be very transparent about our billing processes. Yes, you can pay with a debit, credit or HSA card. The ability to have a card on file helps us easily capture payment and adds a convenience factor for patients by cutting down on paper billing. Here’s how it works: We’ll submit your bill to your health insurance company for payment. Once your health insurance company processes your claim, you’ll receive an Explanation of Benefits, which is also sent to us. At this time, we will notify you by the email address you’ve left on file of any additional payment that may be due and your credit card will be charged up to the agreed upon maximum amount. If there’s any remaining balance, you’ll receive an additional paper bill from us. For your safety, MedExpress will not keep your card on file. You will be asked to provide a card for future MedExpress visits. Hope that helps!
