You do not have to have a separation notice to file a claim for unemployment.

Lynn Stevens | Oct 31, 2019

By Law you must have a Separation statement to file with DOL. Please request it but, keep in Mind upon DOL Will call to verify the reason for termination and the former employer can speak very negative of you & DOL can deny you benefits.

You must have a Separation Letter to file for unemployment benefits. The Employer can make up a Story to the D.O.L. so you can be denied any unemployment benefits
