I've tried to get a wage statement for months. I emailed the request form numerous times. I had to send an email to Mark Butler just to get the request form. I have a loved one that needs this form to get medical care for cancer. I can not take off from work to wait hours in the office. My loved one is too sick to do this as well. I don't understand why they don't send the form. MONTHS. I may get an attorney involved because this is impacting his health and if I take time off, I may lose my job.

The department of labor is highly unprofessional and unorganized. For over a month my claim has went untouched and unpaid. Caseworkers claiming they need information that was sent in multiple times. DOL employees blaming previous employers lack of documentation as to why claims are stagnant. Then you come into the office to speak to someone directly and you wait hours and hours to be told nothing. You ask to speak to upper management and nobody is ever available or they always in meetings. This is a merry go round of unprofessionalism and something needs to be done. Their are countless people being put in financial binds because DOL employees just refuse to do their jobs. So my next question is who is the next person I need to file a complaint with because even writing a bad review doesn’t help?!

Very unprofessional, and demeaning I was turned around because “their system is down” the lady with no edges and bad teeth was very rude, she didn’t listen to my issue before speaking then became frustrated and directed me to another lady older with glasses and a bad weave she was nice-nasty. I came to get help with unemployment, I already I don’t have a job and I’m on the verge. Have sympathy, Why disregarded me, why not offer me another source of help you work for the DOL. Disgusting

My experience was the worst, none ever calls you back, if you go up to the career centers they always say because of the Covid that's why their back up I'm not going to believe that for one minute hire more people and get rid of the people that's not doing their jobs this is ridiculous period!!!!!!

I sympathize with you Giovanny. I am still waiting after 7 months to get my unemployment benefits. I have lost everything too. This so called employment center is practically an abandoned building, yet it is surrounded by other buildings full of DOL employees happily making a paycheck to support themselves and their families. It is a shameful example of how the system has failed so many of us.

I filed 4 Aug 2020, received first payment 12/15/2020 for 12 base payments and no pandemic pay as well as they didn’t back pay for six payments and the portal will only let an individual back claim only within the 90 day period. They office won’t answer your call or return calls to messages left. After the week ending the 26 you can’t get back pay on the pandemic money. I feel like DOL is dead wrong for playing with peeps money and they getting paid to avoid the unemployed people struggling

I’m in the same boat and they won’t let me reset my pin online, they say contact your local career center which is this one but of course they never once answer the phone or return voicemails or emails....a simple pin reset you’d think but if no one ever answers or returns calls I guess I’m better off invisible.

If you job was fulltime and you got reduced to part time hours you can file for reduced hours.

It takes 4 to 6 weeks for your claim to processed. And you have to receive 2 letters from them also but keep claiming each week once they tell u when to start and also u have to submit 3 jobs and apply on employ of ga in order to get paid
You have to certify every week and also do your weekly list of places that you applied for. Make sure your resume is posted and made available on search. I'd also stop by and talk to who ever can help you, to make sure you filled out everything correctly
The place is corrupt too I filed for unemployment there I got a job and luckily didn't need it but someone hacked in and used my account to change bank accounts luckily I withheld or I'd have had to pay taxes on it... You're better off going to Carrollton or outside of the city they're far more professional.
Of you're just trying to get an application you can just go in but you won't be able to talk to anyone but the security guard until you submit your paperwork

Quite a few people are having the SAME problem. Unfortunately, there's no one at the offices, and as you know, no one answers the phone. And when you leave messages, no one returns your call. I've called different branches of the GDOL without any results. Some have sent emails, but they don't respond to those either.

If you enter your job searches online, you can check and see that they went in by using the inquiry key at the bottom of the job search page. Make sure when you are entering your job searches you have all your information before you enter your job searches because the system is on a timer.
