Normally up to an hr, then it kicks in at the next day. If you call and let them know in advance they'll help you out to a reasonable time return.
If you call them before they will be able to deduct it off

As long as you return it in the same day. Other than that you keep paying for the rental car at a high price. But you could call them and let them know.
