Food Depot Scam? I was shopping at Food Depot in this morning (unfortunately) and I noticed that on the receipt the Food Depot charges me a 10% Upcharge (not a tax) the tax was on there too, I just want to know why??? Shopping kroger please!!!

There are NUMEROUS signs posted throughout every store explaining this charge. It's not a scam. It is the way they price things.

This is a charge that most people don't carch. They came that the prices are what they pay. This is FAUSE !!!! I can buy cheaper at other stores and they Mark up the prices from 25 - 200 % or more. . It's called busuness. Think about it. Food Depot couldn't stay in business with a 10% profit on what they sell. ( insurance, employee cost, taxes on the property, utilities, etc, etc, etc.

It's cost + 10%.

It is posted throughout the store but it was explained to me years ago when I first moved to Georgia that they add it because they don't mark up their prices.
