My mom was kept in isolation despite they could not produce blood results to show it was not necessary. Not much routine. Short staffed. Messages not returned and too many questions answered with, “I don’t know.” Did not meet her needs for rehab. They are not responsive to family members. Don’t expect anyone to offer help pro actively. The place is old and dirty, except lobby area. Floors not clean, rooms in need of serious updating, furniture like out of a thrift store.

We did not have a good experience this time at Laurel Park. While my mother’s two previous stays there were quite good, this time around was not. I’m not sure if it was short staffed because of changes in healthcare post COVID, but it was difficult to locate a nurse at all, and once we found one they did not appear to understand our concerns, or if they did they just dismissed it. It was incredibly maddening to repeat our concerns day after day to different staff members, all of whom said they had not heard that my mom had any issues at all.

Just don’t do it!!! They are short staffed and the Director of Nurses , administrative, and whoever Phyllis is😡 it’s just all a job and a paycheck for them. They don’t answer the phones. They don’t return messages and they have the young lady at the front desk in the morning to tell people they are in meetings. My mother was here 1day and they lied about scheduling her transportation to and from dyalisis. Her glucose was not monitored at all. Anyone can just come in this facility,I never saw a sign in sheet. They lied on her chart and said she had 30minutes of therapy the 1day she was here. The reviews are true !!!

They allowed my father n law to lay in bed he came home with awful bedsores and they lost his clothes and his teeth they kept saying he wouldn't eat.. well with no teeth he couldn't. Then they tell us he never had any of those things. Both times he had to go there he has come home with bedsores i would never recommend Laurel park

Not sure about the physical therapy part, but I've been in and out of there before picking patients up and based on the things I've seen and discovered, I DO NOT recommend sending a loved one there for the nursing care aspect of it. Hope it helps!
Laurel Park is owned by both Piedmont Henry hospital and Pruitt health Care. If you are a patient at Piedmont Henry they will try to get you to go to Laurel Park and not really give you other options unless you push for them or you seek them out on your own
They let visitors in anytime.
They are not part if Piedmont. I don't understand why piedmont allow this facility to still using piedmont name. I was hospitalized at Emory with Achilles tendon repair surgery., Emory found this horrible facility for me. Even though I was very sick, when I got there I knew my life was in dangerous. The bed was so small and shaking all the times. I asked for my pain killers medication, the nurse told me that she needs to waited for authorization code in the night time., she said it was nothing she could do for my pain. After cried for 40 minutes, she said if I had pain killers medication, I could take and she will replace later. It was so many violations there, that with all my pain, at 5am in the morning I called a friend and asked her for help. I left by 6am, and prefer be home alone instead at this horrible place. Thus place need to be shut down. Inam serious about it.
