(Summers) five to seven weeks Jun most ovf Jul. 1,500 acres and 7 1/2 miles of shore line on lake. The council has 1,500 acres up on the plateau near Spencer, Tn. They have mountain biking, rifle & pistol ranges, hiking trails, a big lake & lots of wild life at both sites. Great place for kids. Good luck. Try www.mtcbsa.org.
I believe so. There are some campsites for just regular camping. One of which is Beany Elam, which is in the woods but is great for camping. It's really flat, which is good for tent camping, and there is a pavilion there, as well
