You go online and fill out application for food stamps. You do what is requested. Then, a few weeks later, you receive a letter in the mail stating you missed your phone appt and if you do not contact your worker back, then DHS thinks that you dont need help and they won't approve you. First of all, it would be nice to know that I even have a phone appt. Second, how about answering the phone or returning voicemails when I do call back? Not trying to be a jerk but we are broke and hungry and need help! Thanks

This place is absolutely terrible. The staff is so RUDE and just not professional. The whole world is going through a pandemic and yall want to treat starving suffering ppl this way. I put in applications before covid19 and all they call tell me is you'll have to wait up to 3 weeks before we can get to you. While my sisters county truly cared enough to help her the next day and food bank help. Wilson co will just hang up. If your not an essential worker you will go hungry bf

Medicaid can provide premium assistance: In many cases, if you have Medicare and Medicaid, you will automatically be enrolled in a Medicare Savings Program (MSP). MSPs pay your Medicare Part B premium, and may offer additional assistance. ... Note: You cannot be required to enroll in a Medicare Advantage Plan.
Its really not that busy anytime. It moves fairly quick. It's not like the dmv.
No. This office only provides food stamps, cash benefits, and childcare.
