Primitive camping (no electricity or water and fires weren't allowed unless you brought your own burn barrel or metal fire pit. Lots of activities during the day. Everyone was helpful. My two cubscouts had the time of their lives. So much fun. Just make sure to bring a cp stove and food that does not need to cook over a fire.

Yes. They have cabins to rent also. They have canoes, paddle boards, jet skies, sail boats and motor boats. Must have training to operate. Go to Middle Tn. Council web site for further info. & phone # for making reservations & rates. I have worked at Boxwell Scout Rrservation for 17 yrs. (Summers) five to seven weeks Jun most ovf Jul. 1,500 acres and 7 1/2 miles of shore line on lake. The council has 1,500 acres up on the plateau near Spencer, Tn. They have mountain biking, rifle & pistol ranges, hiking trails, a big lake & lots of wild life at both sites. Great place for kids. Good luck. Try www.mtcbsa.org.
