Yes, although if ur 1 year old isnt walking yet it might not be quite as fun. I started taking my daughter there when she was 18 months old. She loves the construction room and just the generally chaotic environment. It stresses me out when it is crowded bc the big kids run without paying any attention to their surroundings so i get exhausted constantly helicoptering around my daughter lol. But she really loves it and there is tons for her to do. I prefer to take her in the evenings when it's less crowded.

Yes, it's a small area that is fenced off. Be careful because some parents don't see that their big kids are jumping the fence and playing in there- which is against the rules. I wouldn't pay to just come in here for a 1 year old, but if there are older siblings, then it's perfect.
